What is Secluding, in one sentence?
A disposable browser that runs on our hardware instead of yours, streamed to you as video, with a forensic record of what it did.
Is this a VPN or a proxy?
No. A VPN routes your own browser's traffic through another server; your browser, and everything it exposes, is still yours. Secluding runs an entirely separate browser and shows you the screen. Your device never makes a request to the site you're viewing.
Can the site I'm visiting see my real IP or fingerprint?
No. It sees the node's browser and, for darkweb sessions, the Tor exit — never your machine, your network, or your credentials.
What happens to a session when I close the tab?
The session keeps running. Closing the viewer starts the idle clock, not the termination clock. Come back to the dashboard and it's still there, running or waiting for you to reconnect.
How is a 'microVM' actually implemented?
Where the underlying host exposes hardware virtualization, sessions run in a Firecracker microVM. Where it doesn't — the case on our node fleet today — sessions run under gVisor, a strong user-space sandbox that intercepts every syscall, but is not itself a hardware VM. We record which tier a session got rather than call every session a microVM regardless.
Do you support Tor / .onion sites?
Yes. Tor Browser sessions egress through Tor for maximum anonymity. A Chrome-over-Tor profile is also available when you want Chrome's fuller HAR-grade capture on a darkweb target.
What does the evidence bundle contain?
A HAR archive, an event timeline, screenshots, packet capture, a DNS log, downloads, and (on Chrome profiles) a NetLog — all covered by a sha256 manifest. See How it works for the detail on what's captured per browser profile.
Can my team see and end each other's sessions?
On a Team plan, admins and moderators can see every running session in the pool and end one, with the reason recorded in the team's audit log. Regular members see their own sessions only.
What happens if everyone's slots are full?
Starting a session opens a dialog showing exactly what's running and three explicit options: wait for a slot, terminate one, or add a slot (or ask your team admin to). It never just fails.
Is there a free plan?
Yes, invite-only: one session at a time, clearnet or Tor, 30-minute sessions, 3-day artifact retention. Ask us for an invite.
